Why This Evangelical Voted for Trump

In reading many posts of Christians internationally, many seem shocked that evangelicals voted for President Elect Donald Trump. I estimate that nearly 20 million American evangelicals voted for Trump. There were many reasons.

Some voted out of fear of Hillary Clinton and her policies that we felt would destroy the American foundations as we know them today. We were concerned that she would appoint Supreme Court Judges who would arbitrarily change our constitution, rather than by the proper ratification by the people (i.e. The states). We were concerned that her pay-for-play international get rich scheme would continue. We were concerned that she would continue to appease radical Islam, making our country more unsafe as the Obama administration did with Iran. We were also angry that the media failed to talk about her roll in her husband’s multiple affairs — destroying the lives of women who were his victims. We were also concerned about her two agendas she has (one public and one private) which she clearly outlined in a speech to big supporters.

I voted for Trump because I wanted to STOP Hillary Clinton’s 30 years of scandals which seem to follow her wherever she goes. I voted for Trump based on the good men and women he chose as his running mate and advisors. I chose Trump because he named his Supreme Court nominees before he was elected and all are constitutionalists, not activists. I voted for Trump because I didn’t feel that the current administration was concerned enough about leading the world and less concerned about our national security.

Anti-Trump protesters

Because I voted for him, the other side has called me terrible names. Because I voted for him, the other side is protesting our American way of life (our election system) which is a revolt and protest against our constitution. Some are even saying they want a Revolution. Because I voted for him people now question my salvation (some international Christians have, too).

So, why am I writing this? If nearly 20 million evangelicals prayerfully voted for Trump and God allowed him to win, don’t you think you owe it to God and your fellow Christians to wait and see what President Elect Trump does BEFORE you judge us? I would never pick Trump as a friend. I agonized over who I should vote for. I certainly wouldn’t have picked him as my candidate to win the primary, (my choice was Ted Cruz) but God did. Why? I have no idea, but I’m anxious to see what could happen. Since everything has a purpose, I’m curious to see God’s plan.

If you are a Christian, PRAY. America needs Jesus more than ever. Those protesting, many of them are paid agitators. Many are lost young people with no moral compass. Many are decent people who are scared because of a corrupt media who told lies about Trump and left out the truth about Clinton. There have been a few journalist who have apologized for their behavior. Many of them need the hope of Christ.

One thing is certain, this IS God’s plan — for better or for worse.

Russia is now a country on the watch list

Russia2014_20140212_0031For those of you who know me, you know how much I love Russia. I have traveled to Russia about a dozen times. My fascination with this country started when I was a kid, during the “cold war.” I was always concerned about the possibility of another World War. More importantly, I was always concerned about a nuclear attack. I thought often about the number of Russian kids my age who were also concerned about it. If they were concerned, we weren’t that different.

So, with that backdrop I tried to learn everything I could about the Soviet Union. I wanted to know why they thought the way they did. Why would a government oppress their people so badly? Why would people accept that kind of oppression. Why wouldn’t the Soviets want freedom. Why wouldn’t they do something about it? As the interest grew, I always thought that I would like to visit Russia some day.

Fast-forward to 2003 my wife and I were talking about adoption. After much research we decided to adopt a child from Russia. Because of that I kind of feel like we’re connected to Russia in some way. We also developed a love for orphaned children in Russia. As a result we have travel multiple time to Russia with a couple of different groups to provide love, compassion, and the Gospel to kids who have either have been abandoned or orphaned.

Up until now Christians from the west have been able to do it fairly freely. Most of you know that I work with Mission Network News. This week I did an interview that would break my heart.

On April 30, 2015 the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom issue their religious freedom report. For the first time in the history of the report (1998) RUSSIA was included in the report.

According to the 232-page document, there are 17 nations listed at Tier 1 abusers of religious freedom. They include: Burma, Central African Republic, China, Egypt, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

There are 10 on the Tier 2 list, including Russia. Mission Eurasia Director of Religious Freedom Issues, Wade Kusack, says Russia being on the list is a big deal. “This is a first official announcement, or recognition, of the persecution from the U.S. government’s side.”

What does this mean? This means that the severity of Russia’s persecution against Christians has reached a point where even government are paying attention. President Vladimir Putin has created legislation that has a direct impact on evangelical churches and para-church ministries. If they receive any funding from outside of Russia, the government considers them foreign agents. They’re basically calling them spies.

The situation that, I believe, tipped the scales was what’s happening in eastern-Ukraine. Kusack told me when Russian-back separatists occupied eastern Ukraine, the persecution began. “[They] started to hunt evangelicals, confiscate church buildings, kidnap and torture Christian leaders, and some of them were tortured to death.”

If you’ve studied Russian history at all you know that just about the time things were going well, they self-destruct. Look it up for yourself.

Why am I blogging about this? Because I want people to pray. There are many evangelical Christians who are actively involved in Russian government. Pray that God will allow them to use their influence to make a difference. Also, pray God would do a work in President Putin’s heart. He’s obviously being more aggressive on the international stage. He’s sending nuclear capable aircraft into American and European airspace, he’s bend on invading Ukraine and other form Soviet Bloc nations, and he’s making friends with Iran, North Korea and China.

But, God is also doing an incredible work in the hearts of people in both Ukraine and Russia.

Why is it always President Bush’s fault?

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. President George W. Bush is getting bum wrap when it comes to the poor economy that many claim was given to President Barak Hussein Obama. Here’s why.

Here’s an email I received the puts much more clearly than I ever could.

The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s fault”, think about this:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.
At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
Unemployment… to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

President Bush asked Congress 17 times to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress. So when someone tries to blame Bush. REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!”

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 and 2009 as well as 2010 and 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George W. Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited
it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

Why is it that nobody is talking about this, not even Fox News? It’s quite frustrating to hear the Democrats saying that we’re better off than we were four years ago. I’m not. I’m not only making less money than I did in 2008, but I had two years of retirement taken away, I’ve been paying more for health insurance, and I’m paying double for energy including gasoline, home heating, and electricity. Also, food prices have doubled.

Another issue for me is religious freedom. Today, we have less religious freedom in the United States than we had in 2008. If you remember, both houses of Congress passed Hate Crimes legislation that adds sexual orientation to the list of groups under the protection of the federal law. It also gives states and local jurisdictions federal help in prosecuting hate crimes. This law could be the law that prosecutes Christians for preaching what the Bible says about homosexuality — calling it a sin.

The bottom line is I don’t feel better off than I was four years ago. 24 million Americans who are currently unemployed (and millions more who are under-employed), the 40 million plus people who now receive food stamps, and the 1 in 5 million Americans who are now living in poverty certainly aren’t better off.

So, the question remains, if President Obama was a CEO of any major company in the U.S. or around the world would he be fired? Would his contract be renewed with five trillion in debt, 8+ percent unemployment, and four years without a federal budget? If he would have said, “you can’t blame me, the former CEO left a mess” they wouldn’t have cared very much.

So, if you are a democrat and plan to vote for President Obama, pretend you’re a stock-holder. Pretend you’re evaluating his performance as a CEO. Is there enough evidence to renew his contract? Is there evidence of quality leadership that has taken our nation to the next level, or has his leadership been divisive? Has he been one to lead through international calamity? Has he helped lift democracy in the Middle East? Has he led in these situations from the front, or followed from behind?

Michelle Obama said it well Tuesday night. She said, “Being president doesn’t change who you are, it reveals who you are.” It certainly did in President Obama’s situation. It revealed he’s divisive, can’t unite, can’t budget, and can’t lead.

Elizabeth Warren has it totally wrong. She’s demonizing corporations who HIRE people. To demonize them cripples the corporations who hire people.

I received this a few days ago. What do you think?

I received this in an email yesterday. It’s one of those emails that go around asking people to forward it around,”If your a true American.” What do you think about this?

Religious freedom winds waning in America

I received this email today from the National Religious Broadcasters’ Craig L. Parshall. He’s NRB’s Sr. Vice President & General Counsel. He writes:

“When the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on October 5th in Hosanna-Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church and School v. EEOC, one particular tenet of religious freedom was clearly front and center – namely, the constitutional “autonomy” of religious groups to apply their doctrines to their relationship with employees. The case involves the so-called “ministerial exception,” a court-made rule that exempts the positions of “minister” and similar religious leadership roles from interference by secular courts. What quickly grabbed focus, however, was a stunning series of statements by the lawyer for the Obama Administration, Leondra Kruger, who slashed away at basic rights of religious freedom in her arguments. Kruger, an Assistant Solicitor General in her mid-30’s, announced – quite matter-of-factly – that religious groups have no special rights of association any greater or different than, say, labor unions. To which Justice Scalia exclaimed: “That’s extraordinary. That is extraordinary. We are talking here about the Free Exercise Clause and about the Establishment Clause, and you say they have no special application?” Then there were tough exchanges, evoking near disbelief even from liberal Justice Kagan.

“Do you believe, Miss Kruger, that a church has a right that’s grounded in the Free Exercise Clause and-or the Establishment Clause to institutional autonomy with respect to its employees?” asked Justice Kagan. Ms. Kruger replied: “We don’t see that line of church autonomy principles in the religion clause jurisprudence as such.” Said Justice Kagan: “So this is to go back to Justice Scalia’s question, because I too find that amazing, that you think that the Free – neither the Free Exercise Clause nor the Establishment Clause has anything to say about a church’s relationship with its own employees.”

Legal principles, like shifting sands, often change with the tides, little noticed when our attention is directed elsewhere. Ten years ago I argued a similar case (Montrose Christian School v. Walsh) before the Maryland Court of Appeals, which also involved the First Amendment rights of religious organizations to govern their own employee relations. We were blessed with a victory, defeating the lawsuit by the ACLU, in a unanimous decision. The rule established in that case was followed again in another religious liberty case in 2003, but by 2007, the high court in Maryland had slowly begun to back away from the constitutional principles established six years before.

Some principles are too important to submit to the shifting sand of political correctness, or to novel constitutional theories that elevate “the public welfare” (attorney Kruger’s phrase) over the rights of religious freedom. We cannot afford to miss these alarming clues. There is a new generation of lawyers – some of them now in the office of the United States Solicitor General – who apparently have either forgotten, or have never learned, which liberties our Founders once pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to protect.

This is frightening! I never thought in my lifetime I would hear a government official claiming churches or religious freedom wasn’t protected under the U.S. Constitution. What is clear here is that our nation is at war, but it’s a spiritual war.  “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Health Care to bankrupt America? Fact or Fiction

Obamacare. Most of you who know me, understand I’m conservative. While I’m a registered Republican, I’ve been frustrated with the Republican Party for YEARS. When they had power, they turned into the same big spenders the Democrats were in the 1980’s when President Reagan was trying to reel in spending. Yes, under his presidency, the national debt increased significantly, but not because he wasn’t trying to do something about it. Without the line-item veto, he either agreed to Democratic ‘pork’ or he’d close down the government. I do believe he did that on a couple of different times to get the Democrats to amend their budgets.

However, the current administration brings a whole new meaning to deficit spending. Since President Obama took office our national debt has increased greatly.

Obama Budget Deficit

Obama administration budget deficit

The recent signing of President Obama’s Health Care bill will do more than raise deficits.  According to  Richard L. Wottrich, managing director of International at Dresner Partners, an investment banking firm based in Chicago, “This bill represents a large increase of taxes for many Americans in a year or two. For some tax payers they are going to see their tax bill hit 50 percent (of income) and higher because of the bill, combined with the Bush tax cuts, which needs to be renewed soon but the Obama administration will allow it to expire.”

According to Forbes.com, if you believe in the actual experience of health care reform in Massachusetts, the deficit will grow beyond all projections.

Karl Rove, a trusted adviser to President Bush says, “This thing is $2.4 trillion for the first 10 years of its operation. This thing has 10 years’ worth of — of tax increases, $569 billion in tax increases, including $210 billion in a new payroll tax and a new 3.8 percent surtax on investments that’s going to make us less competitive, $500 billion-plus in Medicare cuts to pay for, in essence, four complete years of the operation of this program.

The subsidies don’t begin until year four and are not fully operational until year 10. If you look at the first 10 years of the operation of this thing, it is $2.4 trillion, and this thing is paid for by Bernie Madoff-style accounting in which they double-count money and ignore enormous costs. They claim $138 billion of deficit reduction, but it’s either between $480 billion in debt — in deficits added to the — to the red ink….”

(You can read (view) his comments made on ABC’s ‘This Week’ in its entirety — click here)

Those of you who are not Karl Rove supporters probably won’t like what he has to say, but he does cite real numbers, while Obama adviser David Plouffe simply debunks his comments in pointless pejoratives. If he could only answer Rove’s criticisms it would have gone a long way to help his cause. Calling Republicans/Conservatives names does nothing in this debate.

The bottom line is the US economy is in trouble. According to Business Week, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke told lawmakers today that the U.S. government’s budget outlook is “somewhat dark” and Congress needs to agree on a plan to reduce the deficit. He spoke in response to a question about the budget impact of the health-care overhaul signed into law this week by President Barack Obama.

It’s not a good scenario for the United States, once the wealthiest nation in the world. Now, even the Chinese are laughing at our economic policies.

Brit Hume on Tiger Woods

Tonight, sitting in my living room, I couldn’t believe my ears. The tease on Fox News suggested Brut Hume, on national television, told the nation the Tiger Woods needed to convert to Christianity to get forgiveness. I HAD to tune in to find out what this was about.

Here’s the context, on Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace asked about what they called, ‘the biggest sports story of the year’ the Tiger Wood fall from grace. Here was Brit’s response:

Here’s the text:

“Tiger Woods will recover as a golfer. Whether he can recover as a person I think is a very open question, and it’s a tragic situation for him. I think he’s lost his family, it’s not clear to me if he’ll be able to have a relationship with his children, but the Tiger Woods that emerges once the news value dies out of this scandal — the extent to which he can recover — seems to me to depend on his faith. He’s said to be a Buddhist; I don’t think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So my message to Tiger would be, ‘Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.'”

I decided to look into his comments. Does Buddhism allow for forgiveness of sins?

Let me quote Barbara O’Brien, a Buddhist blogger: “Buddhism doesn’t offer redemption and forgiveness in the same way Christianity does. Buddhism has no concept of sin; therefore, redemption and forgiveness in the Christian sense is meaningless in Buddhism.”

She goes on to say, “Destructive behavior is understood to be driven by tanha, thirst, which the Buddha explained (in the Four Noble Truths) was the cause of dukkha, unease or suffering. Buddhism itself can be defined as a path of practice that helps us see through the delusions that give rise to tanha.”

Unfortunately, Buddhism requires the individual to travel down the path to see through the ‘delusions’ that give us the desire to do bad. I’m guessing Tiger was already ‘on the path’ and on his own jumped off the path. If he can’t stay ‘on the path’ on his own, how is he going to see ‘the delusions’ on his own?

Now Brit Hume is receiving an incredible amount of hate mail, which I think he expected. Just suggesting that Jesus is the only way to forgiveness, will bring the wolves out in full force. With the world yelling, ‘tolerance’ that goes out the window when it comes to Christianity. Here are a few of the negative comments:

“This guy doesn’t think that Christians sleep around? How forgiving are Christians? They are the most judgemental group of people on this earth. They say one thing and do another. The hypocracy is too much.”

“I am so tired of pompous “Christians” recruiting and, in the process, demeaning [other] belief systems…Tiger needs to take an inward journey – under whatever guise he chooses – to figure out why having it all wasn’t enough. That’s a private journey and his privacy – in ALL areas – should be respected. Brit Hume needs to take the same journey to discover why he feels superior to others when he has no credentials to support that belief.”

“Typical Christian arrogance – to say “our religion is better than yours” just proves that there is a lack of respect for anything other than Christianity. If Christians were such moral people, they’d show respect for those who are of different faiths!! Of course christians claim that you will be forgiven for everything you do – the NEED to be forgiven themselves for their own actions and bigotry!”

It’s amazing the amount of intolerance in their tolerance.

Be praying for Brit Hume. I’m sure he’s receiving LOTS of hate mail. I’m also sure he’s receiving some positive comments, too. I’d like to encourage you to send Fox News a note of appreciation for allowing Brit Hume to talk about his faith — freely. That’s true free speech. Some many times Christians have been silenced.

Brit has it right — in an interview with Bill O’Reilly, Hume said, “Just mentioning the name ‘Jesus Christ’ brings with it a lot of passion.” He’s right — negative and positive. Some HATE Christ, because they know what He stands for. Others LOVE Him because they know what He stands for.

Let’s pray Brit’s comments will do more to point people to Christ, rather than push them away.

Obama, the smartest president?

The media continues it’s frenzied ‘worship’ of a man who Sean Hannity calls, “the chosen one.”  I’m amazezd at the kind of questions President Obama is getting from the national press and the coverage he’s getting. At a recent press conference, Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times asked President Obama very difficult question, “What has enchanted you during your first 100 days in office?”

“Enchanted”?  What’s that supposed to mean? I could think of more important questions:

1. Why did you think it necessary to spend more of the nation’s taxpayers money in the first 100 days of your presidency than the previous president spent in eight years in office?”
2. Why did the Obama administration threaten Chrysler leaders into bankruptcy?
3. Why did the Obama administration release top secret documents about interrogation techniques putting our country in more danger, but the administration won’t release pictures of the $300,000 plus Air Force One photos over New York City?

So far, I haven’t heard any substantial answers to any of these questions.

What has happened to the press that’s supposed to look out for the American people? Why have they cozied up to any political party. They’re supposed to be a part of the checks and balances system that makes the United States a Republic. Why have they abandoned their journalistic integrity?

Had President Bush made these types of decisions the press would have had a field day. They would have gone back through the history of the world and crafted reports telling the world about the failure of socialism and how President Bush was on a road to utter failure. They would have called for his impeachment for bankrupting the United States and pushing our economy into a depression. They would be asking difficult questions about why his cabinet selections were so corupt. Each decision would be under a microscope.

But, not this president. He gets a pass. Where are the tough questions? Where is the public outcry?

The amazing thing is that the media outlets that are, are going to be punished, are the ones who are doing their jobs — Fox News and talk radio.  They have asked the hard questions. Unfortunately, those who are asking the questions are being marginalized by the left. They’re either called right wing extremists who have lost touch with the American people, or they’re told their misinformed and lied to.

I’m also tired of hearing that Obama is smart and President Bush is so stupid. Obama graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School.  Bush graduated from Yale. Bush actually had BETTER grades in Yale compared to Senator John Kerry. Compared with Al Gore, they were about equal in their scores. But, unfortunately, President Obama didn’t release his scores. We know he graduated from Columbia, but without honors, which is below a 3.3 grade point average. However, he did graduate Harvard Law SchoolMagna Cum Laude, which, according to the Havard Law School website, is awarded to the top 10% of Harvard Law School students.

However, it does take a bright man to understand that you can’t spend money you don’t have. President Obama’s first 100 days in office have been expensive.  Since his inauguration, the President has signed into law $1.19 trillion in new spending.  That’s $11.9 billion of spending for each day he has been in office. And the liberals thought President Bush spent a lot. Is that intelligent.

I’m beginning to understand what happens in the end times when The Beast takes over the world. The person is worshiped. Even though it’s clear the evil this person commits, people follow blindly. It’s amazing that we’re seeing the beginning of blind faith that could lead this country to economic and political destruction.

The good news is that God is in control. Perhaps this is exactly what this country deserves. Throughout history He’s brough powerful countries to their knee because of the sin of the people. With the government support of same sex mariage, abortion on demand, so called Christians preaching ‘another gospel’, and more God can’t be pleased.

Pageant, politics and racism

I am frankly beside myself today. I have always thought we live in a free nation. The United States — the land of the free and the home of the brave. I now have a different view. While our country was founded on those principles, I now believe our leaders (President Obama and the Democrat controlled legislature) want that to end. The frightening thing about it is there are influential people who want our country to dramatically change as well. Even more scary is that most of the American people DON’T care. The Democrats are unquestioningly following. And, Republicans are afraid to do anything about it.

Let’s start with the Miss USA pageant over the weekend. According to the Christian Science Monitor, Miss California Carrie Prejean (a Christian candidate) answers a question from judge Perez Hilton about legalizing same-sex marriage during the Miss USA Pageant. “We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage,” Prejean said. “And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

Looking at blogs and other commentaries, many say Miss California lost the pageant because of her answer to the question. Maybe I shouldn’t be so amazed. It appears the United States has reached a new ‘sinful’ low. We’ve penalized a women for having strong character, who’s wholesome, ethical, and stands on her convictions. It’s amazing that she would be penalized for believing in something that may not be politically correct. To allow someone like Perez Hilton (an outspoken homosexual and blogger) be a judge on a television show that’s supposed to be an example to young women around the country.

I shouldn’t be surprised. Because, soon, it will be illegal to say anything negatively about homosexuality. News reports indicate a vote is looming this week in Congress on a bill that one conservative activist warns would not only silence Christian opposition to homosexuality, but also would legitimize deviant forms of “sexual orientation.” According to OneNewsNow.com A markup vote is expected Wednesday in the House Judiciary Committee on the Local Law Enforcement and Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009.  House Democrats only have to give 24 hours’ notice before the vote.  The measure (H.R. 1913) sponsored by Representatives John Conyers (D-Michigan) and Mark Kirk (R-Illinois) would add homosexuals and transgender people to the list of classes federally protected from so-called “hate crimes.”

Andrea Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, says the bill is a serious threat to religious freedom.

“Your pastor could be prosecuted for conspiracy to commit a hate crime if it passes and become law,” she warns. “This so-called ‘hate crimes’ bill will be used to lay the legal foundation and framework to investigate, prosecute, and persecute pastors, business owners, Bible teachers, Sunday School teachers, youth pastors — you name it — or anyone else whose actions are based upon and reflect the truth found in the Bible.”

Now, a character on my favorite TV show has got me pretty ticked off. She’s called me and millions of other Americans, racists.  Janeane Garofalo, who plays Janis Gold on the television series 24, says the people who attended tea parties are racists with dysfunctional brains.  Here’s her quote:

“Let’s be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It’s not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don’t know their history at all. It’s about hating a black man in the White House,” she said on MSNBC’s “The Countdown” with Keith Olbermann Thursday evening. “This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of *!(%#!~ rednecks. There is no way around that.”

I am not a racist, but I am opposed to Socialism and government spending MY money like there is no end to it. I am opposed to the president of the United States bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia and giving legitimacy to rouge leaders, i.e. Venezuela and Cuba. I’m also opposed the president giving aid to our enemies by releasing highly classified “Top Secret” documents about interrogation techniques. I’m also tired of hearing Obama apologize to the world for the United States. He’s caving in and it’s hard to stomach that Obama is going to give away part of the United States in order to make him look good. Those kinds of issues aren’t racist. Those are issues that violate the sovereignty our our nation. Obama is trying to re-write the constitution and American history. It’s sad.

Where does that leave us? On our knees before God pleading for mercy. Asking God to bring revival in a nation that’s rejected Him. Come Lord Jesus, come quickly.
